Vote for Me in the Death by Chocolate Contest!

Culinate is sponsoring a fantastic contest in which two winners, one blogger and one reader, will get a trip for two to Napa Valley to attend the annual Copia Center’s Death by Chocolate Festival on February 23, 2008. In addition, they are giving away some neat daily prizes. If you have a food or beverage blog and made something with chocolate that you love, you can submit your entry here. If you don’t have a blog but want to be entered in the drawing for the reader’s trip, you can enter here. Everyone can vote for their favorite blog entries, and then the winner will be selected from the top 10 favorites by a distinguished panel of judges that includes David Lebovitz, Dorie Greenspan, Deb of Smitten Kitchen, Chuck Siegel of Charles Chocolates, and members of the Copia and Culinate staffs.
Some fantastic bloggers have already submitted a myriad of delicious entries, and I decided to have a go at it, too! I entered the Inside-Out German Chocolate Cake (photo above) that I made for Michael’s birthday last summer because that was our favorite chocolate dessert from 2007. It’s a dark chocolate cake with a dulce de leche and coconut filling and a dark chocolate ganache, and yes, we really enjoyed it!

Right now, I just happen to be enjoying a Mojito Heart truffle by the very same Charles Chocolates you mentioned! (I ordered my own custom box of chocolates from Chatham’s Fine Chocolates, where I got to pick from hundreds of artisan truffles).
A little tip for those readers who love chocolate, but share my predicament and have no shot at winning the chocolate festival trip!
