  1. I always had trouble getting my kids to eat prunes if they could recognize them as prunes, but if the prune flavor was in something, they’d love it.

  2. Andrea says:

My boys like prunes, though not the big plump ones, so I buy the Sunsweet Bite Size Prunes, and they go to town on them!

  3. Sarah says:

Oh this looks amazing! I have to admit, I actually love prunes. And apples too, of course. Can’t wait to try this!

  4. Lynda says:

This sounds sinfully delicious. Did you find that 2 cups of sugar in the cake was too much or just right?

  5. Andrea says:

Lynda, I only sampled the crumbs, so I can’t exactly say what a slice tasted like. It is a lot of sugar, but the crumbs tasted delicious. :-) This one definitely qualifies as an occasional treat.

  6. Sam says:

Looks like a delicious cake. Do you think this would work in an ordinary cake tin, I don’t have a bundt tin :(

  7. Andrea, I think it’s against the law to make a cake and not keep some for the children. I’m sure your boys will agree with me. You’d better bake another one quick, before the authorities find out!

  8. Andrea says:

Hi Sam! Yes, you should be able to bake this in two 8 or 9-inch cake pans or a 9×13 pan.

African Vanielje, the boys didn’t suffer for too long since we had birthday cake the same week! ;-)

  9. Kay says:

It’s 8:20am here and I’m drooling over your cake. I really wouldn’t mind having a piece of that cake to go with my coffee :)
